hello,
my name is Mingaile (or Ming). I am graphic designer and artist based in Berlin, originally coming from Lithuania. Welcome to my little world of velvet saturdays art, consisting purely of my own creations.
I am open and keen to work on new creative projects, no matter the medium. If you have ideas or are looking for a collaborator – please don’t hesitate in reaching out me. I would be more than happy.

“Pare down to the essence, but don’t remove the poetry.”
Since my early years I was closely involved in music and literature, both of which still play a crucial role in my life. Music evokes visual patterns and stories in my head, while words have the power to touch things that are otherwise not depictable. Due to my interest in diversity, cultures and mentalities, I was also studying Indology (South Asian studies).
After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic and Communication Design, I worked as a graphic designer for many years (and still do). Due to my love for paper, I especially appreciate working on print (books, publications, etc.) projects, but I also happily engage in branding, events and digital design.
Over time, however, a growing desire emerged to follow my own artistic path. I enjoy working with different media, but my favourite is paper. Its unique strength—holding fragility and stability at once—is what draws me to it most, not to mention the fascinating sensation on the fingertips and throughout the whole body when touching it.
My way of thinking is constantly searching for patterns and for answers to the question “why,” and this is also reflected in my work: ornamental in nature, arising from inner reflection. Paper, space, colours, patterns, music, and words fascinate me and form the central tools of my creative exploration.
